Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality medication management and support to residents during overnight hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Duties • Safely administer medications to residents following prescribed dosages and schedules, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards • Monitor residents’ vital signs, physical condition, and response to medications throughout the overnight shift • Document all medication administration and patient interactions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility support, hygiene, and feeding as needed • Observe for signs of medical emergencies or changes in condition, promptly reporting findings to nursing staff or physicians • Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control protocols specific to assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice settings • Support residents with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, or other medical procedures under supervision Skills • Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments with a focus on senior and memory care • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration techniques • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation • Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining high standards of patient safety and confidentiality • Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills for working with people with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions • Knowledge of hospice care principles and working effectively with individuals facing end-of-life situations • Understanding of HIPAA compliance and best practices in protecting patient records and privacy Join our team as an Overnight QMAP if you’re passionate about providing exceptional care during critical hours when residents need it most.
