Join a team that does, too.The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a Computer Services Manager to lead our IT team in delivering superior technical support to our law enforcement units. We are looking for a unique blend of proven leadership, hands-on technical experience, and a dedicated desire to serve Larimer County’s mission-critical operations. This role makes a difference every day and is vital to the success of the Sheriff’s Office. This is a working supervisor position. You will be responsible for leading and troubleshooting issues alongside a team of seven staff members in support of our 9-1-1-Dispatch Center, Jail, Patrol, and Professional Staff Units. You will collaborate closely with multi-agency groups to ensure our technology is secure, efficient, and meets the evolving needs of the enterprise. *Starting pay range for this position is $101,412 - $121,694 annually.Schedule & Environment: This is a fully in-person role. Due to the nature of public safety, this position requires the ability to be on-call and available outside of normal business hours to respond to emergencies or critical system issues as needed. The typical schedule is Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES What You'll Be Doing: Provide Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for Computer Services and the multi-agency enterprise; evaluate enterprise system direction, assess impacts, and guide system improvements.Ensure 24/7 System Continuity: Develop and maintain team and system backup strategies to support critical enterprise systems on a 24/7 basis.Direct Technology Lifecycles: Lead end-to-end technology lifecycles—including strategic planning, deployment, and support—across multi-agency networks and operations.Drive Departmental Objectives: Support goals related to implementation, customer satisfaction, system availability, and service levels in alignment with established performance criteria.Lead Project Planning: Prepare detailed project plans and manage scheduling for systems, software, desktop roll-out strategies, and network upgrades.To view the full job description, visit https://www.larimer.gov/hr/careers/job-descriptions#/app/detail/Computer_Services_ManagerWhat We're Looking For: Public Safety Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting critical public safety operations, including Jails, 9-1-1-Dispatch, and Patrol environments.Operational Leadership: Previous leadership experience managing a team with a strong focus on day-to-day operations and service delivery.Collaborative Liaison: A willingness to lead and support committees involving outside agencies and multi-jurisdictional partners.Strategic Communicator: A perceptive communicator and presenter capable of bridging the gap between technical and non-technical audiences to craft clear, actionable messages.Hands-on Technical Expertise: A proven history of providing direct technical support for diverse applications and hardware devices.
