Reports directly to assistant store manager or the he Store Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Achieves assigned department's sales targets by: • Reviewing department sales targets weekly with the store manager and supervisor, • Maintain target price per item, • Using the price grid as a guideline in departments. • Supplies the store with merchandise by sorting, hanging, and pricing donations for assigned departments. • Displays merchandise in designated area(s) on the sales floor. • Supplies a sufficient quantity (according to performance standards) of merchandise daily to assigned departments. • Assures the production department is clean and materials are stocked. • Adjusts merchandise prices up or down to achieve maximum value, when merchandise is not selling, or is selling to quickly. • Keeps sales floor shoppable by ragging, balancing, and rotating seasonal merchandise. • Ensures an adequate supply of seasonal merchandise by recognizing seasonal merchandise, placing it in storage boxes and properly labeling the storage boxes. • Assists with customer's service. • Performs other duties and special assignments as directed, including assignments which may be outside the [primary area of employment. Stooping/Bending • Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station. • Toe room is present, but workers are unable to flex their knees while standing at this station. • Duration of this position is approximately 30 - 45 seconds at one time, repeated continuously during the day. • Forward bending is also present at the front counter and when stocking ingredients. Crouching/Squatting Performed occasionally to stock shelves and to clean low areas. Reaching • Reaching is performed continuously; up, down and forward. • Workers reach above 72"occasionally to turn on/off oven controls, change prices on sign, and lift and lower objects to and from shelves. • Workers reaching down to perform such tasks as scooping cornmeal from a plastic barrel, or washing dishes. • Workers reach forward when obtaining topping ingredients, cleaning work surfaces, or answering phones. Duties involved in these efforts will include the loading and unloading of both Xcel and Contractor trucks utilizing a forklift. It will also include the loading and unloading of supplier trucks both inside the warehouse and in the yard areas using the same equipment. Other basic duties will be to help maintain housekeeping, assist in the preparation and put away of materials and the loading of materials for various job requirements. This may also include assisting with the inventory of materials at the storeroom, accessing the database for information, and other duties as assigned. Working safely with others is a key component of this position.
